‘Shut Up and Go Away!’ Jimmy Kimmel Enlists His Wife to Respond to Trump’s Attack on Him at Rally

Late-night host Jimmy Kimmel was the target of former President Donald Trump’s insults during a Pennsylvania rally this week, during which time he discussed many relevant political issues such as Kimmel’s gig hosting the Oscars six months ago.

During the rally, Trump called Kimmel “the worst host in the history of the Academy Awards” and seemingly made up a story in which Kimmel’s wife begged him not to read Trump’s Truth Social post and tell his “Isn’t it past your jail time?” joke. Trump said at the rally that he should have followed his wife’s “advice.”

Kimmel’s wife, Molly McNearney, is the executive producer and co-head writer at Jimmy Kimmel Live, and she also happened to be an executive producer of this year’s Academy Awards ceremony. So, Kimmel thought it might be a good idea to listen to Trump and let McNearney speak, since she had such good advice.

McNearney took the stage wearing a t-shirt that read “Isn’t It Past Your Jail Time” and holding an Emmy statue which she won for executive producing the aforementioned Academy Awards ceremony. She had some advice for Trump:

Donald, thank you for your support. And I’m glad I have your attention because one in three women currently in this country is living under an abortion ban because you stacked our Supreme Court. Thanks to you, women in 21 states can’t make their own choice about their own life and their own body. And ten U.S. states make no exceptions for rape or incest. The party you run so bigly and so beautifully, the party that cares so much about motherhood just blocked a bill that would protect our access to IVF. Women are dying and good doctors are quitting because they can’t get or give the reproductive care women desperately need. So, my advice for you is to shut up and go away. Go to Mar-a-Lago. Spend all day, every day cheating at golf and masturbating to Newsmax and let a competent woman take over. That’s my advice. Thanks for listening.

Trump’s comments about Kimmel were made during the same speech in which the ex-president claimed he wanted to “protect” women, and if he is reelected, they will “no longer be thinking about abortion.”
