Kari Lake Declares ‘I Don’t Want to Fight with Americans’ After Meghan McCain Promises ‘No Peace B**ch’ Over Father Insults
Kari Lake announced she does not “want to fight with Americans” after Meghan McCain slapped down the Arizona Republican’s attempt to make peace over previously referring to the late John McCain as a “loser.”
In video from CPAC, Lake was asked about McCain’s response to her, which can essentially be boiled down to three words: “no peace, bitch.” It’s a message Meghan McCain has offered multiple times as Lake has tried to move on from the John McCain vitriol.
“Oh wow,” Lake said about Meghan McCain’s message, according to video posted Tuesday by Nicholas Ballasy. “Well, I really do want peace. I want to come together. I don’t want to fight with Americans. There’s too much at stake.”
In a recent interview with KTAR, Lake told Republicans to grow a “thicker skin” and “learn to take a joke” after she was confronted by 2022 campaign comments in which she referred to McCain as one of a handful of “losers” produced by the state of Arizona. She also told McCain Republicans to “get the hell out!”
Lake would go on to lose her Arizona gubernatorial bid at the time, something she chalked up to unfounded claims of fraud which have thus far been shot down in legal battles. She is now running for Senate. She is a close ally of Donald Trump, who publicly feuded with McCain before the senator’s passing in 2018.
Lake insisted recently John McCain would have laughed off her comments and chalked it up to campaign talk, but his daughter Meghan McCain believes otherwise.
“No peace, bitch,” she offered after Lake’s interview.
The Arizona Republican then directly reached out through X, formerly Twitter, in which she offered to meet with Meghan McCain, but she got the exact same response.
“Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to ‘get the hell out.’ Guess she realized she can’t become a Senator without us,” Meghan McCain wrote. “No peace, bitch. We see you for who you are – and are repulsed by it.”
