Kari Lake told Republicans to “learn to take a joke” and grow “thicker skin” this week when confronted on her past insults against the late John McCain, but Meghan McCain is having none of it.

“Kari Lake is trying to walk back her continued attacks on my Dad (& family) and all of his loyal supporters after telling them to ‘get the hell out.’ Guess she realized she can’t become a Senator without us,” McCain wrote on X, formerly Twitter, on Tuesday.

She added, “No peace, bitch. We see you for who you are – and are repulsed by it.”

Meghan McCain has blasted Lake in the past over insults about her father.

In November 2022, while running for governor of Arizona, Lake referred to John McCain as a “loser” despite calling him a “hero” after his passing in 2018.

“We don’t have any McCain Republicans in here, do we? Get the hell out!” Lake said at her 2022 rally.

She followed up by saying “Arizona has delivered some losers” when referring to John McCain, who was a longtime senator from the state.

In a Monday interview with KTAR, Lake, currently running for Senate, chalked her McCain comments up to campaign talk, saying she was dealing with attacks from a “McCain Republican.” Supporter Donald Trump famously feuded with John McCain before the senator’s passing.

“It was said in jest. And I think that if John McCain, who had a great sense of humor, would have heard it, he would have laughed,” Lake insisted on Monday.
