Trump Fumes Over ‘Really Bad’ White House Correspondents’ Dinner in Late Night Truth Social Rant, Says Colin Jost ‘BOMBED’
Former President Donald Trump delivered a scathing review of Saturday night’s White House Correspondents’ Dinner and its host, Saturday Night Live’s Colin Jost.
In a late night post to Truth Social after the festivities concluded on Saturday evening, the former president teed off about the dinner’s two main speakers — Jost and President Joe Biden.
“The White House Correspondents’ Dinner was really bad,” Trump wrote. “Colin Jost BOMBED, and Crooked Joe was an absolute disaster! Doesn’t get much worse than this!”
Both Biden and Jost directed a number of pointed barbs at Trump throughout the night. The current president made light of his age with a wisecrack directed at his predecessor.
“The 2024 election is in full swing, and yes, age is an issue,” said Biden, 81. “I’m a grown man running against a six-year-old.”
Trump has a long, notorious history with the correspondents’ dinner. While attending the 2011 dinner, he was famously roasted by former President Barack Obama. That incident was thought by many to have helped Trump decide to run for president in 2016.
