Far-Right Lawyer Trump Is Considering for AG Says He Want to Drag ‘Dead Political Bodies Through the Streets’: ‘F*ck Unity’

Mike Davis

Mike Davis, a Republican lawyer whom President-elect Donald Trump reportedly considers a candidate to serve as attorney general in his second administration, celebrated Trump’s election with some pugnacious and even disturbing rhetoric on Wednesday.

“Fuck unity,” declared Davis on X, formerly Twitter. “We have the votes. And they tried to kill Trump.”

In a follow-up post, Davis said the following:

Here’s my current mood: I want to drag their dead political bodies through the streets, burn them, and throw them off the wall. (Legally, politically, and financially, of course.)

Davis has also, in the hours since Trump won the presidential election, declared that “America isn’t worthy of Trump,” as well as urged both Special Counsel Jack Smith and former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney to “lawyer up.”

The attorney’s social media rampage is sure to fuel concerns over how Trump’s second administration might target his political enemies. Particularly because the president-elect himself has suggested that Davis might be the right person to run the Department of Justice during his second term.

From The Washington Post:

Trump has recently floated combative lawyers from outside the traditional legal establishment who go on television to defend him, such as Mike Davis, as top attorney general candidates for a second term, telling advisers and donors that his picks for the job were a mistake in the first term because they were weak or defied him. Davis has faced criticism for his comments about imprisoning journalists and caging children if he became attorney general, comments which he said were made in jest.

Last November, Davis suggested that Mehdi Hasan, then of MSNBC, had made several notable reprisal “lists” that Davis would refer to in power.

“@mehdirhasan is now on my Lists 2 (indict), 4 (detain), 6 (denaturalize), and 3 (deport). I already have his spot picked out in the DC gulag. But I’ll put him in the women’s cell block, with @Timodc [The Bulwark’s Tim Miller]. So these whiny leftists don’t get beat up as often,” he wrote at the time.
