‘Don’t Try to Bully Me!’ Secret Service Director and GOP Congressman SCREAM at Each Other in Shocking Hearing Clash

Acting Secret Service Director Ronald Rowe blew up at Rep. Pat Fallon (R-TX) while giving testimony on Capitol Hill.

Rowe, who replaced former Secret Service Director Kimberly Cheatle following the July 13 assassination attempt on President-elect Donald Trump in Pennsylvania, testified before lawmakers on Thursday regarding Trump’s personal security.

The questioning became intense when Fallon asked Rowe about the security presence for Trump during the 9/11 remembrance ceremony in New York City. The Texas lawmaker presented Rowe with a photo of the ceremony, suggesting that the acting director was not properly protecting Trump.

Here is a partial transcript of the exchange, in which the two men screamed at each other:

FALLON: You recognize this photo?

ROWE: Yes, sir I do.

FALLON: Okay, is that in Remembrance of September 11th?

ROWE: It was.

FALLON: Was it in New York?

ROWE: It was at Ground Zero.

FALLON: Okay. Who is usually at an event like this, closest to the president of the United States, Security-wise?

ROWE: The SAC of the detail.

FALLON: Special agent in charge of the detail, were you the special agent Church of the detail that day?

ROWE: Actually, let me address This, could you please have your staff leave—oh, no leave the one up with the circle around me. Thank you. So actually Congressman, what you’re not seeing is the sac of the detail out of the pictures view. And that is the day where we remember the more than 3,000 people that have died on 9/11. I actually responded to Ground Zero, I was there going through the ashes of the World Trade Center. I was there at Fresh kills.

FALLON : I’m not asking you that, I’m asking you if you were–

ROWE: I was there, Congressman–

FALLON: –If you were you in charge–

ROWE: –I was there to show respect for our Secret Service –

FALLON: That’s horse hockey–

ROWE: –that died on 9/11—

FALLON: Oh you’re trying to be–

ROWE: — do not invoke 9/11 for political purposes–

FALLON: I’m not, I’m invoking this—

ROWE: You are, sir—

FALLON: No I’m not. Don’t try to bully me!

ROWE: You are out of line!

[Chairman Kelly bangs his gavel]

FALLON: I would like to ask this gentleman a question

ROWE: You are out of line, Congressman

KELY: Order. [continues to bang gavel]

FALLON: I am an elected member of Congress and I’m asking you a serious question, and you are—

ROWE: And I am a public servant, who has served this nation and—

FALLON: You won’t answer the question
