Elon Musk Gloats As Old Biden Tweet Gets Notes-Checked: ‘No One Is Above The Law’
Trump confidante and billionaire X owner Elon Musk gloated as users utlized his platform’s “Community Notes” function to dredge President Joe Biden for an old tweet following his decision to pardon his son, Hunter Biden.
On Sunday evening, Biden issued a “full and unconditional” pardon for his son relating to gun charges and tax crimes. Biden previously said he would not interfere in the Justice Department’s prosecution of Hunter by issuing him a pardon.
As backlash from both Democrats and Republicans rolled out, an old tweet from May resurfaced in which Biden warned that “no one is above the law” – sent out a day after President-elect Donald Trump who was found guilty on all 34 counts for falsifying business records in payments made to Stormy Daniels before the 2016 presidential election.
The tweet re-emerged with a “Community Note” for “additional context” that read: “Joe Biden granted a full and unconditional pardon to his son, Hunter, on December 1, 2024. Hunter was convicted of multiple felonies but will now go unpunished.”
Delighted with the clap back, Musk screen grabbed the tweet with the added note and tweeted: “Community Notes slays.”
