Don Jr. Blames Biden’s Rhetoric For His Dad’s Shooting: ‘Don’t Tell Me They Didn’t Know Exactly What They Were Doing’

Donald Trump Jr. posted a screenshot of President Joe Biden calling former President Donald Trump “a genuine threat to this nation,” suggesting that rhetoric led to his father’s shooting at a rally on Saturday.

In a post to X/Twitter Sunday, the former president’s son shared two comments from President Biden — which were both made in the past three weeks. On June 28, Biden wrote, “Donald Trump is a genuine threat to this nation. He’s a threat to our freedom. He’s a threat to our democracy. He’s literally a threat to everything America stands for.” And on July 5, he wrote, “Justice Sotomayor warned us in her dissent that, based on the majority decision, Trump could take out his opponents, take bribes, and lead a coup while president—and be immune to being held accountable. He really could become the dictator that he promised to be on day one.”

Trump Jr. condemned those comments.

“Don’t tell me they didn’t know exactly what they were doing with this crap. Calling my dad a “dictator” and a “threat to Democracy” wasn’t some one off comment. It has been the *MAIN MESSAGE* of the Biden-Kamala campaign and Democrats across the country!!!

Trump Jr. himself has referred to Biden as a “threat to Democracy.” In a May 31 post to X/Twitter, Trump Jr. said: “No one is a bigger threat to Democracy in America than Joe Biden.”

Trump Jr. also recently re-posted a call from Elon Musk to execute anyone who so much as opposed a new bill aimed at stopping non-citizens from voting in U.S. elections.
