Tucker Carlson scored the “top new” podcast of 2024, according to Apple’s year-end charts for podcasting on its platform.

The top five shows overall on Apple, which has a popular podcasting app available on all its products, were: The Daily, Crime Junkie, The Joe Rogan Experience, Dateline NBC, and SmartLess.

The Spotify charts differ somewhat from Apple’s year-end chart as Joe Rogan’s podcast has long dominated on that platform. Rogan inked a new $250 million multiyear deal with Spotify at the beginning of the year, but under those terms, his podcast has no longer been exclusive to the platform as it was in previous years.

Spotify also ranked Carlson, the controversial host who was fired from Fox News last April, currently at number 3 on its chart. Carlson debuted his show on X in June of 2023 and has since sparked multiple controversies for its content, including hosting and praising a well-known Holocaust denier. In recent months, Carlson has gone all out on the fringes, claiming that abortions cause Hurricanes and that he was physically attacked by an actual demon.

Apple’s top 5 new shows for 2024 were: The Tucker Carlson Show, Three, Mortal Sin, Drowning Creek, and The Rise and Fall of Ruby Franke.

Carlson also landed the most shared episode of the year: The Tucker Carlson Show: “Calley & Casey Means: The Truth About Ozempic, the Pill, and How Big Pharma Keeps You Sick.” Rogan’s interview with Donald Trump was the second most-listened-to podcast episode of the year following Crime Junkie’s “SERIAL KILLER: The Alphabet Murders Part 1.”
