Cenk Uygur: Democrats ‘Like MAGA’ In ‘Authoritarian’ Denial Of Biden’s ‘Terrible Shape’

Progressive commentator and former Democratic presidential hopeful Cenk Uygur blasted the party for behaving “just like MAGA” in their “authoritarian” and “borderline lunatic” backing of President Joe Biden as a “secret dynamo” able to win the 2024 election.

Speaking to journalist Piers Morgan as part of a panel on Monday night’s Piers Morgan Uncensored, Uygur called on the Democratic Party to “pull” the “mad king” Biden from the ticket if they want to beat former President Donald Trump in November.

The outburst came during an already heated exchange as progressive YouTuber and MSNBC contributor Brian Tyler Cohen defended Biden’s mental acuity and age, instead blaming the media’s incessant focus on the subject.

Cohen argued: “The reason that this is such a top-of-mind issue is because we have media like this right now, like Fox News in the United States, like Newsmax, like OAN, who are perpetuating this idea relentlessly… it’s used as a distraction to not talk about [his] accomplishments.”

Conservative commentator and Outkick host Tomi Lahren interjected: “Brian, there is nothing I would love more than for the Democrats to stick with Joe Biden as their nominee. I have no dog in this fight. I hope you guys run Joe because I think he’s the easiest candidate to beat.”

Amused at the idea right-wing media were manufacturing the narrative around Biden, she added: “I just have eyes and ears, and I am lucid enough to understand what I’m seeing.”

Turning to Uygur, Morgan asked: “This has to be a concern, doesn’t it, for America?

Uygur replied, “Yeah, it’s actually very depressing on a number of fronts, including that my side, the Democrats, have now become like MAGA.”

Then addressing Cohen said: “Sorry, Brian, I love you. I think you’re a great guy, super smart. You lay out your case as well as anybody can lay it out. But we do all have eyes and ears.”

He continued: “And the Democrats are starting to look like MAGA, denying that. You know, [when] MAGA says, ‘Oh, Trump won the election in 2020’ – [Democrats argue] you have to be a lunatic to believe that. But if you think that Joe Biden is a secret dynamo behind the scenes, as the Democrats claim… You’ve got to be a borderline lunatic to believe that. The guy is in terrible, terrible shape… and if he has dementia… and his mind is actually affected by the ailments that we’re seeing with our own eyes…”

Returning to his point, Uygur said: “The Democrats have become so authoritarian that they’re like, ‘Oh my God, what if Bernie Sanders wins? What if a progressive wins? Let’s all bow our heads to the mad King.’ And that’s what he is at this point.”

“We have two blithering morons and people that are affected by mental ailments running for office,” Uygur concluded.
