‘Oh!’ CNN Anchors Left Speechless When Expert Tells Them Why Cop-Attacking Migrants Didn’t Stay In Florida

CNN’s chief law enforcement analyst and expert John Miller left the anchors of CNN This Morning momentarily speechless after he explained why it the migrant gang that beat down police in New York City last weekend didn’t stay in Florida.

Miller joined CNN This Morning’s Phil Mattingly and Erica Hill on Friday on the topic of the 14 criminal illegal immigrants who ganged up on two NYPD officers, kicking and beating them in Times Square in a battle caught on camera.

Video of the beating has made international news, and the fact that the first four alleged assailants to be arrested, who have extensive criminal records, were released without bail has become a major and controversial subject in the media and among Americans on social media.

Miller, a former NYPD Deputy commissioner and a former FBI spokesman explained some of the extensive criminal background on the alleged perpetrators, describing multiple prior arrests for various crimes such as armed robbery and grand larceny in the few short months they have been in the country illegally.

“These individuals, I went over their rap sheets yesterday. Multiple charges. Grand larceny, robbery, attempted robbery, grand larceny, grand larceny.” he said ticking them off. “This particular crew operated on mopeds and scooters. They were doing organized retail theft. They were doing snatches on the street. iPhones, iPads, clothing, so on and so forth.”

“One of them that they are still seeking has ten charges on one day because he’s part of a pattern that’s been going on,” Miller said. “And I’m looking at the dates that their arrests started, which is probably close to when they got here. They’ve only been here a couple of months.”

He then described their pattern of traveling to Florida to spend money before returning to NYC to steal more.

“So what the detectives are telling me is they have crews here that operate in New York, do all their stealing, then go to Florida to spend the money and then come back,” he said.

“And I’m like, well, why don’t they just stay and steal in Florida?” Miller continued. “And they said, because there you go to jail. ”

That got an “Oh!” from Hill and a “Wow” from Mattingly before a couple of seconds of awkward silence ensued live on air.

“Great reporting,” Mattingly then said. “Keep us posted on this.”

The subject of crime ramping up in NYC, as well as city systems being overwhelmed by an influx of migrant and the question of whether the NYPD’s hands are being tied has moved from conservative media to the MSM and even MSNBC in recent weeks after multiple incidents with stunning videos have come out.

The seeming acknowledgment that Florida under Gov. Ron DeSantis could be more effectively managed and safer despite also facing an influx of migrants and illegal immigration is not what one has come to anticipate hearing on mainstream media outlets, but with the subject of increased crime in New York City as well as frustration with the demands of the city council have lately come up even on MSNBC in the wake of multiple shocking incidents that have been caught on camera.
