Joe Scarborough Pushes Back on Claim Media is ‘Biased’ Against Trump: ‘It’s Just Madness’

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough pushed back on recurring claims of media bias against Donald Trump, arguing instead the media is not hard enough on the former president.

After Mika Brzezinski listed off a list of “bizarre claims” recently made by Trump, Scarborough accused the media of being “desperate” to keep the “narrative going that this is an election just like any other.”

“I’ve seen it time and again. A lot of people that sit around and, you know, ‘Oh, my god, the media, it’s so biased. It’s so biased against Donald Trump,’ and then Donald Trump will go out and say that a crowd of 10,000, 15,000 doesn’t exist and it’s A.I. generated and they will just kind of sit there and then go, you know, ‘When is Kamala Harris going to have her first sit-down interview with George Stephanopoulos?'” Scarborough said.

Trump falsely claimed a large crowd in Detroit drawn by Harris was AI-generated.

Scarborough said some stories need more focus by the media, including Trump’s claim he was in a near-helicopter crash with former San Francisco Mayor Willie Brown in the ’90s. The former president claimed Brown said negative things about Harris, whom he was in a relationship with. Brown and two others have denied the story. Nate Holden, a former Los Angeles city councilman, came forward to say Trump was confusing him for Brown.

Scarborough accused the media of focusing too much on Harris and her lack of media hits and policies compared to Trump’s words.

“All of these things are just crazy, and yet the press will just take it in because they are so numb to it,” he said. “What do you expect her economic theory is going to be on quantitative easing and when is she going to reveal it?’ It’s just madness.”
