‘I’m Very Grateful for the Effort’: Mika Brzezinski Lauds Kamala Harris — Says She ‘Hit All Her Marks and Then Some’ Politically

Morning Joe co-host Mika Brzezinski took a moment during MSNBC’s coverage of the 2024 election results on Wednesday to praise Vice President Kamala Harris on her historic run.

During the post-mortem conversation about how Harris lost the race to former President Donald Trump, Brzezinski paused before the show went to a commercial break to express her gratitude to Harris as a candidate:

I just want to say a word about Kamala Harris, the Vice President, because she really put herself out there over the past few months at great risk and peril to herself and her family. She was thrown into the deep end of the pool politically and hit all her marks and then some and showed up for America, pushing back against negative forces from all sides and from those you couldn’t even see, the ones we were just talking about. It’s really difficult to describe what she did, what she tried to do, and the history that she did make I’m very grateful for. And perhaps we will learn from it. So, I’m very grateful for the effort. And I think we’ll be asking a lot of questions about ourselves and about the nature of how this all played out in the coming days and weeks.
