‘Kamala Harris Is Going To Blow The Doors Off!’ Strategist Mark McKinnon Tells CNN Trump Will Be Crushed Over Abortion

Former GOP strategist Mark McKinnon told CNN anchor Kasie Hunt that Vice President Kamala Harris will “blow the doors off” former President Donald Trump in Tuesday’s election over the issue of abortion.

With only hours to go before Election Day, the dominant storyline is the the bombshell Des Moines Register poll showing Vice President Kamala Harris ahead of Trump in Iowa, a state he won twice in overwhelming fashion. The DMR poll, overseen by pollster Ann Selzer, is considered the “Gold Standard” Iowa poll.

On Monday’s edition of CNN This Morning, Hunt and McKinnon agreed it would be stunning if the DMR poll turned out to be correct, but Mcinnon still predicted Harris will win big because of Dobbs:

KASIE HUNT: I have not talked to anyone. We have not talked. Of the panel seems to agree that we can’t really find anyone that actually thinks that Harris is going to win Iowa. Now, maybe Ann will turn out to be correct.

But if it’s true that Trump is going to win there, how do you explain what she’s finding?

MARK MCKINNON: Well, listen again. Let’s just say she’s half right. She’s been the most reliable pollster that I’ve ever worked with in my career, and I’ve worked with a lot of them. So just if directionally she’s right and Trump just wins Iowa by a lot less than we thought he was going to. That does have huge consequences for the actual swing states.

So, again, I think if Selzer is half right about Iowa, I think Harris could win all seven swing states. So I’ll just say it. Now, I know you’re not on the prediction business, but I’m getting in it. Harris is going to blow the doors off and is going big because of women and the grand gap.

KASIE HUNT: So this is our last Monday together before the election. Obviously, we’ll hopefully be talking next, you know, a week from today. We’ll have a lot more information. But what’s your final prediction here?

You gave us a little bit of that, but distilled, who do you think wins and when do we know?

MARK MCKINNON: I will say that I think that we have overcomplicated this by a lot. I think this is the first post Dobbs election. I think there are more women in America. I think more women are going to vote. There’s an enthusiasm gap that’s like ten points. We got the granny gap. Now add that all up it’s simple math. Harris blows the doors off and wins big.
