Fox News’ Karl Rove Praises Trump’s McDonald’s Appearance Because It’s Better Than ‘Talk About Arnold Palmer’s Genitalia’

Fox News’ Karl Rove praised Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump for his campaign stop at a McDonald’s over the weekend, contrasting the humanizing event with his rant about golf legend Arnold Palmer’s anatomy at a rally during a segment on Monday.

Asked to evaluate the McDonald’s photo-op by anchor Martha MacCallum, Rove replied, “I thought it was great, I thought it was a smart move.”

“Look, he’s better off not being in front of a rally. What was the message for yesterday?” he continued. “Donald Trump, doing a blue collar job, trying to contrast himself with her [Kamala Harris], raising questions about whether or not she did [work at McDonald’s]. But mostly it was Donald Trump as a human being relating to people in a fun way, unlike the day before in which we got talk about Arnold Palmer’s genitalia. I mean, you know, that was a good message. He’s got to be more disciplined like he was yesterday.”

At a rally on Saturday, Trump explained that “Arnold Palmer was all man. And I say that at all due respect to women. And I love women, but this guy, this guy. This is a guy that was all man. This man was strong and tough.”

“And I refuse to say it. But when he took showers with the other pros, they came out of there. They said, ‘Oh my God. That’s unbelievable.'” added Trump before observing that he “had to tell you the shower part of it, because it’s, it’s true.”

“What can I tell ya? We want to be honest, we want to be up front. It’s true,” he concluded.
