Oddsmakers give Aaron Rodgers — yes, the current quarterback of the New York Jets of the National Football League — a 3% chance of being elected President of the United States in 2028.

Although Donald Trump’s win became official less than 48 hours ago at the time of writing, sportsbooks have wasted no time setting odds for the next batch of potential candidates in four years. Among the list on Bookies.com are a few obvious choices like Vice President-elect JD Vance, California Gov. Gavin Newsom, and Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis. The three of them have the highest odds at +450, +575 and +700, respectively.

Following the top three are some more predictable names, including Michelle Obama (+950), Pennsylvania Gov. Josh Shapiro (+1000), Vice President Kamala Harris (+1200), Kentucky Gov. Andy Beshear (+1200), and Nikki Haley (+1200).

Toward the end of the list, the wildcards start appearing. Rodgers was given +3000 odds, with actor Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson (+3500) and billionaire Mark Cuban (+3500) right behind him.

Rodgers has floated the idea of getting into politics after his playing career ends. In fact, just a few months ago, there was speculation that he’d actually consider ending his career to get into politics sooner. When Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. was still running as a third-party candidate, Rodgers was on his shortlist of potential running mates. Rodgers declined the offer, but the two remain good friends and Kennedy ultimately chose Nicole Shanahan.
