Chris Cuomo Mocks Megyn Kelly for Saying She Wants Trump To Keep Her Safe: ‘I Wanna Be Protected!’

NewsNation host Chris Cuomo ridiculed Megyn Kelly for saying President-elect Donald Trump would be a “protector of women” on Wednesday, breaking into an impression of Kelly and shouting, “I wanna be protected!”

During a discussion about Trump on NewsNation’s Cuomo, former Fox News host Bill O’Reilly argued, “Trump’s capacity to hate you is limited. There is a list, alright, of people he feels are flat-out evil and corrupt, and I wouldn’t want to be those people, but it’s not a long list.”

After Cuomo questioned, “Am I on it?” O’Reilly replied, “Uh, no, you’re not on it,” before claiming, “There’s a few, and they’re in the justice system, that’s where his beef primarily is, but you remember Megyn Kelly tearing him to pieces in 2016. Well, who’s his best pal now?”

Cuomo then broke into an impression of Kelly, raising his arms up and down in worship and mocking, “I wanna be protected! I wanna be protected!”

ESPN host Stephen A. Smith responded, “No. I mean, listen, she made it clear she was supporting him, number one. She was gonna vote for him and she spoke adamantly against the opposition because she didn’t like the direction that the country was going in, and so as a result of that, in his eyes, they became likeminded and that’s why he let that go. If she was still doing the same things that she was doing in 2016, it would have been a different animal.”

“100%,” concluded Cuomo.

During her speech at Trump’s rally in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania this week, Kelly – a former enemy of the president-elect – supported his claim that he would be a protector of women if elected president.

“He got mocked by the left for saying he would be a protector of women,” she said. “He will be a protector of women! And it’s why I’m voting for him! He will close the border! He will keep the boys out of girls’ sports and where they don’t belong!”

Cuomo cut away from Kelly’s speech on NewsNation at the time and ignored a directive from his producer to put her back on, branding the conservative commentator an opportunist.
