Doctor on CNN Destroys MyPillow CEO Immediately After Bonkers Interview: The Treatment He Was Promoting ‘Can Be Fatal’

Dr. Jake Deutsch, an emergency medicine physician, destroyed CEO and of My Pillow Mike Lindell immediately following his trainwreck interview with CNN anchor Anderson Cooper.

Deutsch noted that Lindell has no knowledge or credentials when it comes to science and medicine, and bashed the businessman for touting an unproven treatment for the coronavirus.

“Talking about case reports of a test tube study where they put oleander extract in with the virus and it showed that it killed it, that’s so far from scientific,” Deutsch said of Lindell’s comments regarding the poisonous plant’s effects on Covid-19.

The two noted that a number of substances could kill the virus if both were put in a test tube, including bleach, which President Donald Trump once touted himself, but that doesn’t mean one should ingest it as a cure.

“And that’ what scares me here, Anderson, we are really talking about a highly toxic substance,” Deutsch pointed out. “Oleander is a plant which is widely available, a small amount of consumption of this plant can be fatal, causing arrhythmias, hypertension, you know it is more likely that somebody would die from taking oleander than from Covid.”

He added that he’s afraid of the misinformation surrounding the coronavirus, especially now when everyone is trying to find a cure as quickly as possible — noting that putting the president’s name on the cure will certainly lead to more hard than good.

Cooper noted that anybody can say what they want in a report that is not peer-reviewed and sell their product, promising that it truly works.

“Yeah. We are completely forgetting about the scientific process,” Deutsch responded. “We’re using hype, fear. We’re using information that isn’t founded on the principles which we practice good medicine from and what really is the scary part is people taking assumptions that they can solve this themselves.”

Cooper claimed that Trump doesn’t listen to Dr. Anthony Fauci or Dr. Deborah Birx anymore and questioned why the president is instead listening to Lindell and Dr. Ben Carson when it comes to treatment for the coronavirus.

“The moment that somebody says I’m not a scientist but give you medical information and scientific recommendations, that’s a red flag,” Deutsch added.
