Fox’s Harris Faulkner Grills McCarthy Rebel On ‘Petty’ Decision to Boot Pelosi From Office While She’s at Feinstein Funeral

Fox News’ Harris Faulkner grilled Rep. Andy Biggs (R-AZ) about Speaker pro tempore Patrick McHenry’s (R-NC) decision to kick Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) out of her hideaway office in the Capitol Building and the general chaos resulting from Rep. Kevin McCarthy’s (R-CA) ouster as speaker on Wednesday.

“What I’m wondering is: How did we get to this ‘We’re on the edge of the cliff situation’ with everybody going home?” Faulkner told Biggs, who joined the entirety of the Democratic caucus in the House of Representatives in voting to take the gavel away from McCarthy on Tuesday.

“And by edge of the cliff, I just simply mean now you have to do all of that stuff you wanted to do with even less time,” continued Faulkner. “Like, no one communicated what day one after the vote was going to look like because it was always going to look like — It’s up to Patrick McHenry.”

“And by the way, one of the things he did comes across as rather petty. I mean, rather than waiting for Nancy Pelosi or somebody to come back, he takes her office while she’s memorializing Dianne Feinstein,” said Faulkner. “Like, are you all talking because that’s not who you are, Congressman Biggs. that’s not who any of these eight are!”

Biggs dodged Faulkner’s critique of McHenry, professing not to know what his motivations were, but insisted that the House would soon have “capable conservative leadership.”

“We have not descended into chaos. We have regular order. Everything that took place yesterday was regular order,” submitted Biggs. “What isn’t regular order is when you pull a fir alarm to stop a vote. That’s not regular order. What we did was regular order. And so now we’re operating under regular order, we’re operating under the rules, and the rules, in my opinion, allow us to go forward with committees, and everybody agrees with that.”

“Well, that would be great to see you all reconvene for what you could be doing. And by the way, Representative Jamaal Bowman gets a pass, because no one’s going to be focused on the fact that he brought something to a halt nearly by pulling a fire alarm,” shot back Faulkner.
