Meghan McCain Annihilates Trump for Mocking Her Father’s War Injuries at Rally: ‘A Piece of Sh*t, Election Denying Huckster’
Meghan McCain eviscerated former President Donald Trump for mocking her late father — John McCain — for injuries he sustained as a prisoner of war.
Trump went after the late Arizona senator — a longtime favorite target — during a rally speech in Newton, IA Saturday. The former president ripped John McCain for famously striking down Trump’s attempt to repeal former President Barack Obama’s affordable care act in 2017 with a thumbs-down vote.
“Obamacare is a catastrophe, nobody talks about it,” Trump said. “Without John McCain, we would’ve had it done. John McCain for some reason couldn’t get his arm up that day.”
The comment was a reference to the fact that John McCain was unable to lift his arms above his head due to injuries he sustained as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Over the course of five years, he was tortured repeatedly and left with permanent injuries.
In a post to X (the platform previously known as Twitter), Meghan McCain shared a clip of Trump going after her father, and was unsparing in her response.
“My dad was an American hero,” she wrote. “An icon. A patriot that will be remembered throughout history. I cannot buy a bagel without someone approaching me about how much they loved and miss him.
“Trump is a piece of shit, election denying, huckster whose own wife won’t campaign with him.”
