‘Question That Needs To Be Asked’: GOP Rep. Burchett Points Finger at Clinton Foundation Over Violent Haiti Crisis

Rep. Tim Burchett (R-TN) invoked the Clintons in a discussion about the crisis in Haiti, claiming there are questions the Clinton Foundation has to answer and implying some level of culpability, along with other “culprits”, for the current political violence and chaos unfolding in the Caribbean nation.

During a Saturday panel discussion on the far right network Real America’s Voice, Burchett revealed his opinion on the potential fallout from the violence in Haiti concerning immigration to the U.S.

Haiti is currently embroiled in political violence as gangs roam the capital city and take over government buildings while the country’s unelected prime minister is exiled in Puerto Rico.

Burchett implied at Bill and Hillary Clinton’s  philanthropic non-profit organization may have played a role in the country’s crisis, saying it’s a question that “needs to be asked.”

“I think another question that needs to be asked, and nobody’s asking the Clinton Foundation what happened, all those billions of dollars that they invested in in Haiti?

Here’s what you gotta do is you gotta stop them in the international waters. And the president knows that. Because once they get into a certain parameter that, you know, they’re going to show some poor kid drowning, which is horrible or some, some, some Haitians that are unable to swim or what have you, and they’re going to have to rescue them. And then what do you do with them then? Can you send them back? Florida doesn’t have those capabilities, and Florida’s in a trap, really.

“I think another question that needs to be asked that nobody’s asking: The Clinton Foundation. What happened to all those billions of dollars that they invested in in Haiti?”

And I you know, there’s a lot of a lot of culprits in all this. And we’ve we continuously backed the wrong people and we get into business that’s not that is not our business. And now we’re expected to pick up the pieces.

So, it’s a horrendous situation. But you multiply that across our borders in Texas, Arizona, all these other states have been saying this and it’s and it’s a terrible situation. And this isn’t like the Cuban, the Cuban crisis when when Castro took over and and those people fled there. These are these are folks we’ve got we’re going to have some as to quote President Trump, we’re gonna have some bad hombres in this bunch, and we better be ready. Our, our, our prisons and our law enforcement, they’re already overworked and underpaid. They’re going to really receive the brunt of this.
