‘Your Moral Core Is Magnificent’: The View Audience Cheers After Whoopi Tells Liz Cheney She Should Lead the FBI or CIA

The live audience on The View cheered, Monday after co-host Whoopi Goldberg told former Republican congresswoman Liz Cheney she should lead the FBI or the CIA.

During an interview with Cheney – the daughter of former Vice President Dick Cheney, who is still controversial to this day over his support for “enhanced interrogation” torture techniques at Guantanamo Bay – Goldberg asked, “I have a question. Are you also a lawyer?”

“I am,” replied Cheney.

Goldberg then said, “So you could conceivably be a great A.G.” as the audience erupted into cheers and applause.

She continued, “And I say this because your moral core is magnificent. I know you probably don’t want to think about it, but I just feel like I would feel a lot better with you leading the FBI, the CIA…”

Goldberg’s comment prompted more cheers and applause from the audience, who could be heard shouting, “Yeah!” at the suggestion.

“That’s just me. So I’m just saying, should it be floated?” questioned Goldberg. “Please think about it.”

Cheney concluded, “We have to get Vice President Harris elected tomorrow.”

Cheney and her father – both registered Republicans – have both endorsed Harris for president in 2024.

Former President Donald Trump responded to Cheney’s endorsement, calling her a “stupid war hawk” and a “Muslim-hating warmonger.”
