Bill O’Reilly Says JD Vance ‘Made Himself Human’ During Debate — ‘Unlike Donald Trump Who Never Does That’

Bill O’Reilly called JD Vance the winner of Tuesday night’s vice presidential debate, applauding the Republican for managing to do something former President Donald Trump “never does,” which is make himself look “human.”

O’Reilly joined NewsNation on Tuesday for post-debate coverage, and the former Fox News host was unimpressed overall about the CBS News event.

“I fell asleep twice,” O’Reilly said.

O’Reilly called both candidates just “okay” and accused both of dodging a number of policy questions. He did argue Vance outperformed Tim Walz and was better for his ticket, saying he made himself seem “human” and “accessible.”

“What JD Vance accomplished is he made himself human, unlike Donald Trump, who never does that. And he made himself accessible — I hate that word, but it’s a trendy word now — in the sense that you could go up — and I interviewed Vance a few weeks ago, and he answered all the questions because I don’t allow anybody to dodge on my program, No Spin News. They are not allowed to dodge,” O’Reilly said. “I will come in and crush them. So we don’t have that problem but tonight Vance did his ticket more good than Walz did his ticket.”

O’Reilly offered some minor praise for Walz, joking he’d have the vice presidential candidate over for Thanksgiving dinner, but he might be a bit too “tedious” to stay for dessert.

“Walz wasn’t bad. He looks like a guy that I’d invite to Thanksgiving dinner. I don’t think I’d give him dessert,” he said. “I’d get him out of there because he’d get a little tedious, but he can have an entree and an appetizer. I’d like to talk to him.”
