Trump Closes Campaign By Calling Opponents ‘The Most Sinister and Corrupt Forces On Earth’

Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is closing out his 2024 campaign by describing his political career as a fight “against the most sinister and corrupt forces on Earth.”

At a rally in Georgia on Sunday, Trump declared that “for the past nine years, we have been fighting against the most sinister, corrupt forces on Earth” and told his supporters that “you can show them once and for all that this nation does not belong to them.”

Trump repeated the line in North Carolina on Monday, telling the crowd there that “this nation belongs to you.”

He continued:

It belongs to you. Because it was the hardworking patriots like you who built this country. And tomorrow, it is the hardworking patriots like you who are going to save our country. Think of this, I won’t be doing this anymore with North Carolina and I won’t be doing this-, after today, I’m just thinking as I’m going through this that this will be our final moment. But the really-, the more exciting moment is going to begin.

Trump went on to boast about his first term in the White House and predict that his second would be even better because “I know the people. Now I know — I know the good ones, the bad ones. I know the weak ones, the strong ones. I know the stupid ones, I know the smart ones. I know ’em all!”

The former and potentially future president’s rhetoric is particularly notable given the frustrations he and his surrogates have expressed about the labels Vice President Kamala Harris and her allies have used to describe him, which include “fascist.”

“The newest line from Kamala and her campaign is that anyone who isn’t voting for her is a Nazi,” said Trump last week.

“I’m the opposite of a Nazi,” he added before arguing that it’s Harris who is a fascist.
