Pro-Trump Rapper Switches to Vote For Kamala Harris Over ‘Dirtbag’ Elon Musk: ‘Belongs Nowhere Near American Politics’

Azealia Banks posted a lengthy screed to X on Monday and rescinded her endorsement of Donald Trump over Elon Musk’s backing of the former president.
The hit-making rapper is well known for her outlandish behavior and wild feuds with fellow celebrities. Banks, who also supported Trump in 2016, endorsed Trump again in November of 2023 and at the time called President Joe Biden seeking a second term “elder abuse.”
Banks pulled no punches in her description of Musk, calling him a “dirtbag” and an “overrated Ketamine addict” who “belongs nowhere near American politics.”
Banks also took a swipe at Vice President Kamala Harris, beginning her post by writing as “stupid and incoherent Kamala Harris is and as trash as Walz is, and despite the fact that Kamala Harris is the only Democratic Nominee to not have actively campainged in a Primary (the most undemocratic shit ever, and really says alot about her supporters lack of commonsense)… I really think keeping Elon Musk away from any type of political power in the USA is tantamount to any issue on the table here. You have to be a complete idiot to think that dirtbag cares about anyone or anything other than himself.” Banks added:
He’s already been given way too much tax payer money – Allowing him to ascend to any position of political authority is very fucking dangerous. One does not become the richest man in the world because of honesty and good character lol, you must be an expert liar, thief and cheater to become that. That man kidnaps his children, took photos of grimes getting sliced open during her c-section and sent them around, does a shitton of grimy fucked up shit to tesla factory workers, stole PayPal, Weasled his way into tesla and has too many passports for my liking. trump choosing zombie ass RFK to be the “health minister” or what the fuck ever is gross and stupid AF.
Musk has become a lightning rod of controversy during this election as he has dumped tens of millions in Trump’s campaign and given away a million dollars a day in a pro-Trump sweepstakes.
Musk, who built Tesla into one of the world’s most valuable companies, has long been a man of many contradictions. While embracing Trump, Musk’s company continues to lobby for government subsidies and embrace green technology – which the former president rails against publicly.
Reuters reported after Musk endorsed Trump, “Trump has opposed stricter emissions rules and criticized subsidies for EV manufacturers. Shortly after endorsing the former president, Musk echoed the sentiment. ‘Take away the subsidies,’ he wrote on social media, a week before Tesla reported its $890 million credit windfall. ‘It will only help Tesla.’” Musk’s companies, Tesla and SpaceX, have taken billions in government subsidies over the years.
