‘Look at All This Crap!’ Watch Trump Seemingly Allude to and Trash the $83 Million Defamation Ruling Against Him
Donald Trump did not use his latest campaign event to speak directly about the $83.3 million defamation ruling made against him, but he seemed to signal that it was very much on his mind.
The former president spoke before his supporters in Las Vegas on Saturday — one day after a federal jury ordered him to pay punitive damages for his defamation of E. Jean Carroll, the columnist he was previously found liable for sexually assaulting. Trump largely played his greatest hits during his campaign event, but came closest to addressing the verdict when he complained to his supporters in an aside about “election interference” and what happened to him “yesterday.”
We’re leading in every poll, so just, let’s get there. The closer we do, and the better we do, the more the more dramatic they become. Joe Biden is a threat to democracy. He is for a lot of reasons. Number one is incompetent. That’s a threat to democracy, you know. Incompetence is a gross threat to democracy. What they’re doing with elections and election interference. As an example, what they do with me. Look at yesterday! Look at all this crap that’s going on! But we keep marching forward.
Trump previously complained about the “Absolutely ridiculous” ruling on Truth Social, where he declared he “will be appealing this whole Biden Directed Witch Hunt focused on me and the Republican Party. Our Legal System is out of control, and being used as a Political Weapon.” Because he rarely wastes a chance to claim political victimhood, Trump went on with his speech by dismissing the Civil War and claiming he was treated worse than Abraham Lincoln.
