Daily Show guest host Charlamagne tha God urged President Joe Biden to “give America the ultimate Christmas gift” by withdrawing from the presidential race.
The radio personality noted in his monologue on Wednesday night that Biden is “not getting any younger” and the best thing to do for the country would be to step back from 2024, allowing for another Democrat to go against the Republican frontrunner.
Charlamagne also used his monologue to bash the late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg for not resigning from the court when former President Barack Obama was in office and Democrats controlled the Senate.
“The point is, we don’t need Biden to beat Donald Trump — just like we didn’t need RBG to stay on the court. Maybe if RBG had retired during the Obama years, we’d still have Roe v. Wade. Maybe,” Charlamagne told his audience. “People said, ‘No, she needs to be there to protect Roe,’ and now look, both of them are gone.”
“It’s true, they’re both gone,” he added. “See, the facts are: Biden’s not getting any younger, he’s not going to get any more popular, and he’s not getting a new running mate.”

According to a Real Clear Politics national polling average, Trump currently leads Biden by a narrow margin of 2.1%. This comes as reports surfaced earlier this week that Biden told donors behind closed-doors that he is only running in the 2024 election because of Trump.
“So please Mr. President, give America the ultimate Christmas gift and step aside,” Charlamagne continued. “I want Biden stepping in to beat Trump the way I want him stepping in to defend me at a bar fight…I appreciate you caring, but I don’t like our chances.”
