‘She Just Said Maybe Mika’s Not a Journalist — You Think!?’ Fox News Panel Delights in Left-Wing Criticism of Morning Joe-Trump Meeting

Monday’s edition of Fox News’ Outnumbered panel delighted in left-wing criticism of Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski’s post-election meeting with President-elect Donald Trump.

Earlier in the day, Scarborough and Brzezinski, who have been exceedingly harsh critics of Trump for the better part of a decade after playing a key role in his initial success during the 2016 GOP primary, said that they had been with Trump at Mar-a-Lago over the weekend and that all parties agreed to “restart communications.”

This triggered an avalanche of criticism, including from The View‘s Sunny Hostin, who said she didn’t “think you need to sit down for 90 minutes at Mar-a-Lago and kiss his ring to be able to speak truth and to be able to cover a story.”

“So maybe they’re not journalists in the true sense. Maybe they’re saying that they’re opinion journalists, but we have to remember that Trump is the guy who ushered in the era of fake news,” she continued.

On Outnumbered, after watching the clip, co-host Kayleigh McEnany exclaimed “I mean, Harris, she just said maybe Mika’s not a journalist — you think!?”

“Well, I mean, make MSNBC great again. Maybe that’s what they’re trying to do,” chimed in Harris Faulkner before going on to slam Scarborough and Brzezinski for their past denunciations of Trump.

Eventually, Emily Compagno got around to weighing in, submitting that “this speaks more to the magnanimous quality of Donald Trump’s character. And all it does is reinforce the hubris” of Scarborough and Brzezinski.

“I find them reprehensible professionally,” she added. “And the fact that he [Trump] can forgive those and invite them to his home, not just for an interview, but invite them to his home and extend an olive branch and say, ‘Let me listen to you and I’d like you to listen to me.’ That’s incredible. So anyone on the left that talks about a divisive president-elect, all you need to do is show them right there. This is-, what more evidence do we need?”

“The left cries ‘Mao, Stalin, Hitler!’ And then they say, ‘Bring me to Mar-a-Lago, please,'” observed McEnany to end the segment.
