The Daily Show has been on top of the bombshell reports that former President Donald Trump privately expressed admiration for Nazi dictator Adolf Hitler. In a new video, they skewered the ex-president with a side-by-side comparison of his and the murderous dictator’s speeches to show just how similar they are!

On Wednesday’s show, host Michael Kosta introduced a commercial parody in which the History Channel reminds its viewers that Hitler was bad. But Trump apparently thinks the man responsible for the deaths of millions of Jews and other marginalized populations “did some good things.” And going by this video, he also apparently thought he did some good speeches because the similarities are quite apparent. In a new video posted to Twitter/X on Friday, the crew over at The Daily Show put Hitler’s translated words into the Comic Sans font “to make it funny”:

The clips from Trump, while edited, are not altered, so the words coming out of his mouth did, in fact, come out of his mouth. He did call immigrants “animals” and his political opponents “vermin,” and he did say immigration was “poisoning the blood of the country.” And so did Adolf Hitler.

To find out more about how Trump is outwardly using the words of Adolf Hitler to win over voters, listen to the latest episode of Mediaite’s Press Club with guest Anne Applebaum, who also wrote about Trump’s fascist-friendly rhetoric for The Atlantic, which apparently helped The Daily Show out with their research.
