CNN Host Rescues Nancy Pelosi After She Forgets What Vaccines Are Called

CNN anchor Dana Bash had to rescue Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) on Monday after the former House speaker forgot what vaccines are called.

Insisting that she had nothing to do with President Joe Biden’s decision to withdraw from the 2024 race, Pelosi said, “I think he has made one of the biggest contributions to our country in the shortest period of time of any president you can name, whether it’s job creation, whether it’s– well, the first bill.”

As she struggled to find the right words, Pelosi frantically poked at her shoulder and stuttered, “The first bill protect our– assault– our bill– m–”

“Covid,” replied Bash, able to work out what Pelosi was trying to say through her gestures.

Pelosi continued, “Shots in the arm, money in the pockets, children in school, people at work, the infrastructure bill, building– building in a way that is respectful of communities, chips, and science to take us into the future and make us self-reliant as a country, the PACT act to help our veterans, the IRA to save the environment and lower the cost of prescription drugs.”

She concluded, “This is in a two-year period of time. This is a remarkable agenda. He’s been a great president with a vision for our country based on values and knowledge and judgment and a heart full of love for the American people.”

During the same interview, Bash asked Pelosi whether her relationship with Biden was “OK” following accusations that she helped orchestrate calls for his withdrawal from the presidential election last month.

“You’d have to ask him,” replied Pelosi. “But I hope so.”
