RFK Called Trump Plane Food ‘Poison’ To Huge Laughs — 6 Days Before Trump Made Him Eat McDonald’s On Plane For Viral Pic

President-elect Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services nominee Robert F. Kennedy Jr. called Trump’s campaign food “poison” just six days before Trump had him pose for a viral photo with a planeload of McDonald’s fare.

RFK Jr. went viral over the weekend in a photo posted to social media by Trump deputy communications director Margo Martin that featured Trump, Elon Musk, and Donald Trump Jr. joining Kennedy in some burgers and fries — and many users read Kennedy’s facial expression as less than enthusiastic.

Kennedy appeared in that photo despite — or perhaps because of — remarks he made just days earlier deriding Trump’s campaign plane food as “poison”.

Kennedy made the remarks on an episode of The Joe Polish Show in an extended chunk destroying Trump’s nutritional regimen that drew huge laughs from the crowd — the point of which was to praise Trump’s “extraordinary energy”:

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. I was in 48 states. I was I was in nine states. And I was traveling during that time with President Trump, who was, I think, eight years older than me. I think he’s 78.

JOE POLISH: 78. Yup.

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. And I watched the pace and he was I was moving and I was like, okay, if I was ever inclined to complain, it cured me. He was doing 3 or 4 rallies a day. He was doing– one day I was with 12 teleconferences for congressional races around the country, which are actually more exhausting than the rallies because you’re talking into a piece of plastic. And I and you have to yell kind of exhaust your voice. And then he was doing interviews all day.

And the stuff that he eats is, is really like bad. It’s not– campaign food is always bad, but the food at that airplane is like just poison.

(LAUGHTER).

And it’s all they you have a choice between– you don’t have a choice. You’re either given KFC or a Big Macs. Thhat’s like when you’re lucky and the rest of the stuff is, I consider kind of inedible.

(LAUGHTER)

But I was eating it (LAUGHTER) and I saw it. I was a and who is really good great from a campaign. He was huge huge supporter is very close to Trump. They’ve had a relationship for 20 years, you know, through UFC.

And he said during that time, sometimes he’ll sit through a fight with Trump and he’s five hours in the fight. He said he has never seen Trump drink a glass of water.

JOE POLISH: Yeah, yeah, exactly. (LAUGHS) Just like sodas, Coke or whatever.

ROBERT F. KENNEDY JR. Diet Coke. But he has it’s extraordinary energy. It’s the last time I was with him, he was up 48 hours.
