WATCH: ESPN Studio Shakes As Earthquake Hits LA

Los Angeles was hit with yet another earthquake Monday afternoon, and ESPN’s cameras were rolling in the studio the moment it happened.

Around 12:20 p.m. local time, the tremors temporarily disrupted Monday’s episode of NBA Today. At the time, host Malika Andrews was talking to analyst Rebecca Lobo about the U.S. women’s basketball team winning the gold medal at the Olympics. In the middle of the discussion, someone out of frame could be heard yelling in response to the sudden shaking. The lights above her began to sway violently as the camera operator was thrown off balance.

“As we have a bit of an earthquake here in Los Angeles,” Andrews said. “So we’re just going to make sure that our studio lights — everything stays safe… Everybody good? Alright, thank you so much for bearing with us through that. Our studio was shaking just a little bit… Everyone still good?”

Lobo — who joined the show via video call — raised her eyebrows when she heard the word “earthquake.”

To Andrews’ credit, she handled the sudden disruption extraordinarily well and went right back into the discussion. She even threw in a joke about it.

“So Team USA has now won 61 consecutive games in the Olympics,” she said. “Their streak is so dominant, it’s making us feel it here, shaking in Los Angeles!”

According to the U.S. Geological Survey, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.4.
