Trump Insults Biden as ‘Close to Vegetable Stage’ During Interview With Elon Musk: ‘The Guy Could Barely Walk’
Former President Donald Trump claimed President Joe Biden was “close to vegetable stage” on Monday during an interview with billionaire Elon Musk.
“Now Biden’s, you know, close to vegetable stage, in my opinion. Okay?” said Trump during his interview with Musk on X. “I looked at him today on the beach and I said, ‘Why would anybody allow him?’ The guy could barely walk. Why would anybody allow him– Does he have a political adviser that thinks this looks good?”

According to the Collins Dictionary, “vegetable” is “offensive slang” for “a person who is so severely impaired mentally or physically as to be largely incapable of conscious responses or activity.”
The former president continued, “It looks so bad and it’s ridiculous. I mean, and he’s been doing it for a long time. You know, he can’t lift the chair, the chair weighs about 3 ounces, it’s meant for children and old people to lift, and he couldn’t lift it.”
Trump appeared to be referencing footage of Biden lounging with First Lady Jill Biden on a beach in Delaware over the weekend. Biden’s beach trip received criticism from Republicans, who accused Biden of spending “40% of his entire presidency on vacation,” and questioned who was “running the country” in his absence.
