Fox & Friends Hosts Destroy Biden For Going on Vacation To ‘Escape the Mounting Crises’ — From Border to Impeachment
The hosts of Fox & Friends spent the first segment of Wednesday morning’s episode ripping President Joe Biden apart for going on a Caribbean vacation during a time of crisis.
The president and First Lady Jill Biden will, like last year, ring in the new year from St. Croix. Fox & Friends guest-host Griff Jenkins told viewers: “President Biden heading to St. Croix, to the Virgin Islands, to escape the mounting crises: the U.S. troops being attacked in the Middle East, the southern border which is on fire, and of course, possible impeachment as the House looks like they are moving forward on the inquiry.”
“To be fair to the president, he has gone for man years to the St. Croix to ring in the new year,” Jenkins continued. “It’s just, it’s that age old question and other president have faced it: when is the situation for the country in dire enough cases you shouldn’t be seen. Maybe it’s a bad look to be on a beach in the Caribbean, a luxury that many Americans and us right now can’t afford while these things are happening?”
Joey Jones, also guest-hosting the show as its regular hosts remain on vacation themselves, was more forgiving of the current president, saying, “I don’t mind somebody going on vacation, taking the time they need. At his age, he needs more time.” However, he noted that Biden seems to be on track to exceed his predecessors Donald Trump and Barack Obama for days in office spent outside of the White House. Later in the segment, however, Jones noted that the challenges faced by the president will not be resolved while he is abroad.
“So if you’re going to take a vacation,” Jones said, “maybe make sure the house isn’t burning before you leave it.”
Carley Shimkus said she recently spoke with an Israeli American citizen who said Biden shouldn’t go on vacation until every American hostage is set free. Shimkus called this a “great idea” as she suggested Biden make that pledge to the country.
As the three hosts continued to break down every political issue on Biden’s plate — including a potential impeachment by the Republican-controlled House — they kept driving the point that “Just optically it would be better, right now, for the president to stay in the White House.”
“If I were the president’s adviser,” Jenkins said, “I would walk in there and say ‘Mr. President, you are the commander-in-chief. You have an American critically wounded. If he dies or any other in these repeated attacks, that’s the red line… That’s why you don’t get on a plane and head to the Caribbean when you have a critically injured American.”
