Charlamagne Tha God Urges Harris Campaign to Go On Fox News More: ‘Obama Used To Do It’
Charlamagne Tha God urged Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz (D) to appear on Fox News more.
Charlamagne was joined on Wednesday by Fox News’ Jessica Tarlov, who spilled on being one of the network’s outspoken liberal voices. She called being at Fox “great,” which led Charlamagne to suggest the Harris campaign include Fox in their campaigning more.
“I’m glad you said that. That’s something that I’ve suggested to a lot of liberals, you know, especially the VP now running for president,” Charlamagne said, referring to Harris.
The radio host has sparked some controversy with his opinions on the ongoing election, including fighting back against backlash on The View when he said he refused to endorse President Joe Biden. This was in May, shortly before the president suspended his reelection campaign and endorsed his vice president.
“Go on Fox,” Charlamagne said on Wednesday. “President [Barack] Obama used to do it. You know, Gavin Newsom did it. When he started doing it, they started talking about him being — running for president. Secretary [Pete] Buttigieg does it all the time. Go on there.”
Tarlov noted that Walz appeared on Fox News just two weeks prior. This was before Harris announced him as her running mate.
“Tim Walz was on two weeks ago. He did America’s Newsroom, which is, you know, a hard news program from 9 to 11 in the morning. And he was great,” she said. “You know, he’s super affable no matter what environment he’s in. But I love it when I see elected officials showing up.”
Tarlov told Democrats that if they want to reach the widest audience possible, there is no choice but Fox, which has been doubling and tripling the ratings of its cable news competitors.
“It’s a great venue for people to show up on,” she said. “And just if you want to talk to the most people possible, you’re going to go to Fox.”
