Jessica Tarlov Roasts Co-Host Who Says She Hopes Harris Supporters Will Accept a Loss: ‘January 6th Would Like a Word’
Fox News host Jessica Tarlov gave a snarky response on Monday evening when her cohost of The Five, Jeanine Pirro, said she hopes Democrats will remain peaceful if Vice President Kamala Harris loses the election.
Tarlov subtly reminded Pirro that in January 2020, tens of thousands of supporters of then-President Donald Trump amassed in Washington. Many of them stormed the US Capitol after he lost his reelection bid and delayed the certification of President Joe Biden’s victory.
On Monday’s show, a panel made up of Pirro, Tarlov, Greg Gutfeld, Dana Perino, and Jesse Watters each discussed how they would react to the results of the 2024 election.
Pirro explained she was “excited,” citing energy she said was palpable from Trump’s Sunday night rally inside New York City’s Madison Square Garden.
“That created a lot of hope for me in terms of in New York City, if you can get that many people together, everybody on the same page, nobody seemed upset the whole night,” she said. “I mean, tens of thousands.” Pirro added she was worried that some on the left might not be able to “accept” a Trump win:
But what I’m concerned about in terms of stress is the left’s reaction if Donald Trump gets elected. Because they talk about how Donald Trump is a chaos candidate. The only chaos is the chaos that they create, whether it’s get in their face, don’t let them into a restaurant or, you know – you know, he says he’s that that’s what I worry about. I would like if Donald Trump wins, and I’m hoping he wins, I would like that, people just become accepting.
Tarlov – who The New York Times recently referred to as the “liberal that Fox News viewers love to hate” – fired back, “January 6th would like a word.”
According to the Department of Justice, criminal cases have been brought against 1,243 people who participated in the storming of the Capitol.
