‘Landed Some Blows On Donald Trump’: Fox’s Brit Hume Says Bret Baier Interview Was ‘Yay Kamala!’ Moment For Her Team

Fox News personality Brit Hume praised Bret Baier while noting Vice President Kamala Harris “landed some blows” on former President Donald Trump in an interview that was a “Yay Kamala!” moment for her supporters.

Baier grilled Vice President Harris in a contentious interview on Wednesday night’s edition of Fox News Channel’s Special Report, which some journalists have called out for Baier’s constant interruptions and one-sided presentation but which drew raves from former President Donald Trump.

But the interview provided an opportunity for Harris to message against Trump to an audience unaccustomed to hearing it.

During a post-interview panel Wednesday night, Hume weighed in by praising Baier, criticizing Harris over her answers — but acknowledging her success at hitting Trump and showing fighting spirit against Baier:

BRET BAIER: I’m pleased to be joined by Brit Hume, our chief political analyst. And we were trying to get him up for some thoughts. Brit, what what’s your takeaway?

BRIT HUME: Well, she was combative and energetic and she certainly landed some blows on Donald Trump.

But in terms of how well she answered your questions, which were about the very things that have been raised about her, you know, the thinness of her positions, his work to explain her flip flops on issues going back to when she was a candidate for president back in 2019 and 2020.

She didn’t give you very much, Bret, and you did a great job. And it was the right question to ask. You did a good job at answering them– of posing them.

And she you know, I’m sure her partisans will look at that and say, “Yay Kamala!” That you– she fought you.

But if people have doubts about her, I don’t think that she cleared them up.
