Hamas Are Like ‘A Thousand Jeffrey Dahmers,’ NewsNation Guest John Spencer Tells Chris Cuomo

John Spencer, chair of Urban Warfare Studies at the Modern War Institute, told NewsNation host Chris Cuomo that Hamas were like the equivalent of “a thousand Jeffrey Dahmers” on Monday.

On his NewsNation show Cuomo, Cuomo said, “People keep comparing Hamas to America back during the rebellion from England. ‘Well this is what we did. It was guerrilla warfare.’ They’re very different, between hiding around people and using kids as shields, let alone what they did on October 7th, and trying to take on a superior force by using different tactics.”

Spencer responded:

I think anybody who’s dumb enough to say something like that should be forced to watch that movie, the horror film that I did this morning of October 7, and compare the American revolution to literally cutting people’s heads off their heads and taking them as trophies, killing babies literally. It’s so hard to comprehend, Chris, who would think that way. Is it really they’re that dumb? Is there a crisis in our education system?

He went on to compare Hamas to the notorious serial killer, cannibal, and necrophiliac Jeffrey Dahmer, who killed at least seventeen men between 1978 and 1991:

If you’re pro-Hamas, you’re like pro-evil. What I saw this morning in 45 minutes of atr– and it’s just one-tenth, I mean just one fraction of what they did. It was like– it’s a thousand Jeffrey Dahmers. That’s who you’re voting for. You’re voting for Jeffrey Dahmers.

After Cuomo asked Spencer why Israel doesn’t release the movie to the public, Spencer replied:

If anybody tries to justify what Hamas did on October 7, they should be forced to watch the movie, but here’s the problem with the movie, it’s traumatizing. I’ve seen war for 30 years. I’ve killed evil people, I’ve seen what evil people can do, and that video still traumatized me. It made me think of my kids. It made me think of not being able to protect my family. It is traumatic. And I understand now watching it why they won’t show that.

Spencer concluded, “But if you’re that dumb, I do wish that trauma on you. You go watch that movie, whether you’re an elected political figure who saying ‘but’ or ‘however’ after October 7, and trying to compare it to the civilian casualties of all wars — because Israel’s numbers aren’t higher than other people’s — then there’s something wrong with you.”
