Bill Maher Shocked By Chris Cuomo Admitting He Voted For His Brother In Election: ‘Really? You Couldn’t Vote for Kamala Harris?’

Bill Maher was surprised to hear his guest Chris Cuomo wrote in his brother rather than voting for President-elect Donald Trump or Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election.

Cuomo, Mary Katharine Ham, and Dr. Casey Means joined Maher on Friday for Real Time and during a discussion on the election results, Cuomo admitted he’s taken some “heat” after revealing who he voted for. Cuomo stunned podcaster Patrick Bet-David earlier in the week when he admitted he wrote in his brother former New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D) in. Andrew Cuomo resigned as governor in 2021 following multiple sexual harassment allegations.

“I got some heat for who I voted for for president,” Chris Cuomo said on Real Time.

“Who?” Maher asked.

“My brother,” Cuomo said, earning laughter and some applause from the audience.

“Wow,” Maher said.

“And then I spelled his name wrong so I don’t think it counts, but the choices to me were unacceptable for this country and again you’re sitting there —” Cuomo began before Maher jumped back in.

“Really? You couldn’t vote for Kamala Harris?” he asked.

“A lot of people couldn’t!” Katharine Ham threw in.

Cuomo said Democrats embarrassed themselves through this election, where Harris stepped in as a replacement once President Joe Biden dropped his reelection campaign, meaning no larger primary to find a candidate.

“I could have done a lot of things, but my feeling is we deserve better than this,” Cuomo said. “The process that the Democrats put us through was an embarrassment to Democrats.”
