Morning Joe Crew LIVID With ‘Garbage’ Special Counsel Report from ‘Trumper’ Robert Hur

Joe Scarborough was visibly angry at Attorney General Merrick Garland and Special Counsel Robert Hur for including damaging neurological assessments of Biden in the classified documents report released Thursday.

While the report exonerated Biden, it did find that he was “willfully” in possession of classified documents but declined to find any criminal charges because he was an elderly man with a poor memory. A portion of the 350-page report:

In his interview with our office, Mr. Biden’s memory was worse. He did not remember when he was vice president, forgetting on the first day of the interview when his term ended (“if it was 2013 – when did I stop being Vice President?”), and forgetting on the second day of the interview when his term began (“in 2009, am I still Vice President?”). He did not remember, even within several years, when his son Beau died. And his memory appeared hazy when describing the Afghanistan debate that was once so important to him. Among other things, he mistakenly said he “had a real difference” of opinion with General Karl Eikenberry, when, in fact, Eikenberry was an ally whom Mr. Biden cited approvingly in his Thanksgiving memo to President Obama.

Scarborough and Morning Joe crew immediately focused on the damning details that turned the news cycle from “exonerated” to a doddering old man that can’t remember things, just days after Biden had a number of public gaffes in which he confused former world leaders.

Scarborough suggested that the report was a political hit job and dismissed Special Counsel Hur as a “Trumper” as former President Donald Trump appointed him. He dismissed the report as “gratuitous” and “garbage”. He derisively compared it to former FBI Director James Comey giving a press conference to announce then-candidate Hillary Clinton would not be charged for a private email server and ostensibly putting thumbs on a political scale.

Morning Joe opening with anger at the Special Counsel report and seeing it as a political hit job, and no mention of what seemed to many to be a disastrous press conference that followed — one designed to show his mental acuity but featured more gaffes — reveals to many where Morning Joe sit on the partisan spectrum of opinion shows.

And given recent reports that Biden and Scarborough speak on the phone regularly, one can ask who is putting the thumb on the scale here.
