ESPN Insider Adam Schefter Claims He Once Broke a Story While He Was With a Woman: ‘I Got the Job Done… In Every Which Way’
ESPN insider Adam Schefter recently revealed on a podcast that he’s broken major sports news in one of the most unexpected settings.
Schefter has opened up about the realities of being an insider in the past, explaining how nearly every waking moment of his life is dedicating to cultivating sources and reporting the latest scoops. In an episode of the This Is Football podcast, host Kevin Clark asked Schefter what the “weirdest” place he’s ever broken a story was. After a few seconds of thought, Schefter grinned and let out a nervous laugh as he began the story.
“I can remember being in Denver one time,” Schefter said, “and, uh– I was– I was–”
Clark broke out into laughter as Schefter was initially reluctant to tell the story.
“How do I say this?” Schefter continued. “I had just spent time with this woman for the first time, and got a text that Dale Carter was being suspended — I think it was for eight games — for substance abuse. So as I continued to lay there, confirm it, and got the job done, Kevin — in every which way.”
A stunned Clark tried to hold back his laughter before proclaiming, “This is the greatest episode I’ve ever had.”
